AACO Volunteers helped Project Open Hand clients in the Grocery Center by filling grocery bag orders, breaking down bulk food into smaller portions, and packaging grocery bags for home delivery.

Since 1985, Project Open Hand has been providing "meals with love" to people living with serious illnesses and to seniors in San Francisco and Alameda County. Their program of nutritional services has served as a model for over a hundred organizations all over the United States and the world.
