KEEN Sports Volunteering

KEEN stands for "Kids Enjoy Exercise Now", and provides an outlet for mentally and physically disabled children aged 8 through 17 to get some physical exercise and stay in shape.
AACO volunteers participated in two 1-hour KEEN sports sessions on Sunday afternoon. Each AACO volunteer was paired with a child, and spent the hour in the YMCA gym, doing various activities, like playing basketball, playing catch, jumping on the mini-trampoline, mini-bowling, and other general physical activities.
This event served an introductory purpose to get AACO volunteers familiar with KEEN, and hopefully served as a jumping off point to get AACO volunteers working with KEEN on a weekly/more regular basis!
